It’s the Christmas collection you’ve always dreamed about . . . literally! The prolific Phil Barfoot has taken your ideas about what would make the very best Christmas collection and created The Splendor of Christmas. You’ll find a Broadway-style opener, familiar carols for congregational singing, a medley of secular Christmas favorites, an intimate moment for choir and children’s choir, a dynamic song of invitation, and much more, all arranged by Dave Williamson in a variety of fresh, fun, and unique musical styles and genres.
For more information about creating a custom recording of this title with your choir, contact Christian Copyright Alliance at (615) 771-2665 or e-mail Phil Barfoot at ccapbarfoot@comcast.net.

Wonderful News
I am taking a poll as to who can make it Nov 23 (weekend before
Thanksgiving) and Nov 30, (weekend after Thanksgiving.) Your response will
help me determine literature and instrumentation, with possible sectionals.
Please let me know via e-mail if possible so I can make an announcement this
Sunday.
Thanks for all you are doing to make the TLMA cantata 2008 a success. I am
always proud to work with you.
TROMBONES--I will be bringing in a few quartets for you to look over for a
possible 1st-half feature. Take them home and look them over, then we'll
tag on a little rehearsal soon.

"The Tri-Lakes Music Association significantly benefits our community not only with their musical programs but with their philanthropy by donating offerings collected at their Christmas concerts to Tri-Lakes Cares. The all-volunteer TLMA provides an outlet where local musicians and vocalists can perform. We are pleased to award a grant to an organization that brings the performing arts to the residents of Tri-Lakes."

From Robert W. Manning - founder and president of the Tri-Lakes Music Association
In June, 2007, the Tri-Lakes Women's Club graciously gave a $5200.00 grant to the Tri-Lakes Music Association allowing TLMA to purchase two high end Yamaha Motif XS-8 keyboards for use during our performances. TLMA is ever in debt to the TLWC.
In November, 2007 the "Jackson H Fenner" foundation gave a $1500.00 grant to the Tri-lakes Music Association. With this money, TLMA purchased a TAMA drum set outfitted with Zildjian cymbals. This donation allows us to practice in large spaces and not be tied to locations that have a drum set we can borrow. We are indebted to the foundation and the Troyer family who were the trustees that we contacted.
